When the Evolution Comes
This is a serial blog. When it gets too long, we’ll clip parts of it, then put it in a bag so you can read it at lunch.
Yup, bag lunches are in now. That way you’ll save enough to mail your Dad a thank you card every now and then.
No, we’re not being sexist. You already send cards to your Mom. And we’re only here to remind you of things that are really important.
No; still not sexist. After all, we are talking about the evolution of online games here.
How We’re Leading the Evolution of Online Games
In simple terms, we decided to make our games more useful. That’s why what we’ve designed is a Sharing System. And when we get a little closer to its launch, we’ll actually tell you the first game’s name.
In the meantime, let’s focus on opportunities in the system.
We’re Changing the Game
The online games industry is big business. That’s because everybody plays games online. And, one way or another, most end up paying something to play.
But only a very tiny fraction of players ever earn anything from competing in games online.
The Sharing System we’ve designed changes all of that. We talk a little about that here.

Somebody ate a lot on Thanksgiving. Not our fearless leader, though. That one’s not known for eating a whole lot. Talks a bunch about philosophy, though, Open Philosophy in particular.
For the neophyte (or ‘newbie’), Open Philosophy is the study that endlessly searches for the “root of truth.” It is not metaphysical, religious, or scientific. However, it reveals how different systems rely upon similar methods to determine what is truth, true, or false.
What we love most about the notion of an Open Philosophy is that it applies to anything that exists. And at the root of this “open” observation is something called sharing. Nothing can exist without sharing.
The Sharing System that we are working around the clock to build is designed to “openly share with all comers.” This means that each action that takes place within the system will generate both direct and indirect benefits.
The Difference Between Giving and Sharing
There is a simple difference between giving and sharing. According to the Open Philosophy, the difference comes from the ‘transfer of burden.’
Whenever something is given, a burden is transferred from the giver to the receiver. This is easier to see when an individual is paying a debt to a bank, for instance, because the payee actually feels a sense of relief from paying the bill. The same process is at work when a person gives a gift.
Sharing, however, does not transfer burden. This is because there is no decision to make, no debt transferred, when something is shared. Anything and anyone on Earth, for instance, shares the air that we breathe.
The Sharing System we are building mimics the natural systems we live within and share. While we cannot match the relationships we share with the natural wonders of our world, we will change the reason we play games . . . forever.
So, stay tuned. There’s more to come.
